University Counselling

One of the department‘s significant and core services is university counselling. We work with students from Grades 9 -12 to help them widen their horizons and become familiar with university requirements, and programme and major offerings at different higher educational institutions across the world through group and personalized meetings with the students and their parents. By the time the students begin the DP, they are well oriented on the steps they need to follow and the deadlines they need to abide by to be accepted in their intended university.

Career Counselling

At the MMS, we believe in the value of introducing career awareness and guidance at a young age. We are now officially offering Career Guidance to our students in grades 10, 11, and 12. Career Counseling aims at steering students towards better understanding the different majors and programmes offered by universities, the job market requisites, and the different career paths that professionals and experts around the world follow. This service helps students make as much of an informed decision before choosing their IBDP subjects and applying to universities, as possible.

In our approach to career guidance, we do not only focus on sharing and explaining the experiences of others to our students, we also ensure that they discover and understand their own personal preferences and the opportunities those preferences will lead to. To achieve that, interested students take a personality test that offers them a comprehensive report explaining their personality type, why they are comfortable doing certain tasks

and not others, and how work environments can influence their progress and achievements, how the student takes in and processes information, and explaining and guides them to the fields that best suit their personality type among many other aspects. This personality test has proved its ability to help students determine their interests and direct their efforts towards getting involved with courses and activities that help them grow and excel in the direction they aspire.
